ARSENICUM ALBUM

Arsenic Album

It is a SPECIFIC remedy for the following conditions:

1. Ailments from alcohol, chewing tobacco, sausage poisoning, dissecting wound, bites of venomous insects, anthrax, sea-bathing, ptomaine poisoning, malaria, abuse of quinine iodine, climbing mountains.
2. Ailments from care, worry, grief fright and shock.
3.  Ailments with great prostration and rapid sinking of vita alone; aggravated from physical exertion.
4.  Burning pains relived from warm applications.
5. Vomiting and diarrhea with anxiety and restlessness from ice-cream.
6. Cholera : with cold perspiration, thirst for small quantities of water extreme prostration, cadaveric appearances foul stool and vomit, restlessness, anxiety and fear of death.
7. Dropsy : with thirst for small quantities of water, restlessness, anxiety and prostration.
8. Anemia : cancerous affections; collapse; fainting; inflammations; gangrene; ulcers; psoriasis; scabies; urticaria; coryza; hay fever; aphthae; fissured tongue; diphtheria; dysentery; diabetes; leucorrhoea; asthma; pneumonia; pericardia; phthisis; syphilis; with constitutional and characteristic symptoms of Ars a.
9. Delirium : with depressions, restlessness, fear of death, fear of being alone and strong suicidal tendency.
10. Acute nephritis following exanthemata; with convulsions; puffiness of face, mental anguish and suppressed urine; with uremic delusions.
11. Herpes zoster : pains burning, shooting, stiking; worse at night; with restlessness, thirst for small quantities of water, black color of the exudate.
12. Anemia : after acute fevers, hemorrhages, with inability to retain food or drink due to irritability of stomach; great restlessness.

NATRUM MURIATICUM

Natrum Muriaticum

It is a very long and deep acting remedy. 

It is a CONSTITUTIONAL remedy for the following types of patients:

1. Backward children who are late in walking and talking.

2. Irritable children: child cross when spoken to; crying from slightest cause; gets into a passion about trifles, especially when consoled with.

3. Chlorotic girls with delayed menses and headaches; greasy skin and shiny face; mapped tongue.

4.  Women having weepy disposition but are worse from consolation.

5. Persons loosing flesh, especially in neck while eating well.

6. Persons : awkward, hasty, drop thinks from nervous weakness.

It is a SPECIFIC remedy for the following conditions:

1. Bad effects: from acid food: bread; excessive use of salt; quinine, cautery with the silver nitrate; of anger; grief; fright; vexation; mortifiction or reserved displeasure.

2. Malarial fever: when chill comes at 10 or 11 am. Chronic disease having the history of malarial fever treated with quinine.

3. Spleenomegaly with scanty menses (cured a girl of 16 years on this symptoms).

4. Hay fever : brought on by exposure to hot sun or intense summer heat ; sensation of a worm crawling in the nostril.

5. Warts on palms of hands.

6. Eczema; raw, red, inflamed, especially in edges of hair; worse from eating too much salt, at sea shore or from ocean voyage.

7. Urticaria, acute or chronic; over whole body ; especially after violent exercise.

8. Melancholia : of puberty, pregnancy or menopause; with sadness and weeping, throbbing and heavy pain in the occiput ; chilliness, restlessness, palpitation and constipation; in anemic patients; with dry mouth and patchy tongue; hopeless about future.

9. Headache: of anemic school girls: from sunrise to sunset left sided; as if bursting; with red face, nausea and vomiting before, during and after menses; beginning with blindness; from eye strain; with zigzag dazzling light in eyes; hammering in brain during fever better from perspiration.

10. Paralysis, spinal irritation, impotence after sexual excesses.

11. Hysteria: alternate weeping and laughter; menses delayed and painful; profuse, greenish, acrid leucorrhoea itchy and burning; fluttering of heart; with a weak faint feeling heart pulsations shake the body; dreams of robbers in the house, will not believe on waking until search is made, with painful contractions of the hamstrings; sensation of a hair on the tongue.

How to select the Similimum

Each drug proving contained thousands of symptoms collected from a number of provers both males and females. Many symptoms of each drug were found common to a number of drugs, but a small number of symptoms were found to be peculiar to a particular drug alone. Many symptoms were unqualified, but some symptoms were qualified and characteristic. Some drugs showed definite affinity for the mind or some organs of the body, others showed definite pathogenesis. All these findings produced a problem for the selection of a drug for the disease of a patient. Hence the second question that Hanemann had to answer was “How to select the Similimum”? Hanemann handed over the task to his legal adviser Von Boenninghausen who was helping him and contributing his experiences to the homeopathic literature, especially on the subject of “Evaluation of symptoms for the selection of the Simillimum”.

NUX VOMICA

Nux Vomica

IT IS NOT A VERY DEEP ACTING REMEDY.

It is a CONSTITUTIONAL remedy for patients:
1. Who are oversensitive: Oversensitive to noise, light, touch, cold air, surroundings, food, spices, rich food, hot food, over-eating, tea, coffee, narcotics, allopathic drugs, wine, alcoholic preparations.
2. Who are irritable, touchy, offended even by harmless words; inclination to commit suicide, but is afraid to die; easily excited or angered. Cannot bear contradiction, trifling ailments and pains are unbearable.
3. Who are sedentary in habits, undergo mental exertion; loss of sleep; anxious, full of worries.
4. Who are chilly, always talking cold which extends from nose to chest, worse from draft of cold air; worse from uncovering; must be covered in every stage of fever.
5. Who have a tendency to faint: from odours; after eating; after every labour pain; in morning.

It is a SPECIFIC remedy for the following conditions:
1. Ailments : from bad effects of : coffee, alcohol, tobacco, spicy food, over-eating, loss of sleep.
2. Convulsions with consciousness ; worse from anger, emotions, touch and moving.
3. Pains are tingling, sticking, aching, worse from motion and contact.
4. Fever with severe chill, must be covered in every stage of fever, chill is worse motion.
5. Strangulated umbilical hernia of infants and children.
6. Snuffles of infants ; stoppage of nose.
7. Constipation ; with frequent unsuccessful desire ; sensation as if not finished.
8. Menses : irregular, never at right time; every two weeks; stopping and starting again.
9. Labor pains: violent, spasmodic ; cause fainting, urging to stool or urinate.
10. One of the best remedies with which to commence treatment in cases who are drugged by hot and strong medicines. It desensitizes their effects.

CONTRAINDICATED in cases: where the constitutionals symptoms are ascent; where there is no desire for stool at all.
DOSAGE: First to 30th potency and higher before going bed.
DURATION OF ACTION : 1 to 7 days.
