AILANTHUS GRANDULOSA


AILANTHUS GRANDULOSA

It is a constitutional remedy in patients with low power of resistance for zymotic fevers.

It is a specific remedy for the following conditions:

1.         Malignant scarlet fever: regular rush does not come out but in its place roseola like red spots make their appearance; the condition is attended with dreadful tume-faction in the throat and bleeding from gums and nose; face is purple and besotted, eyes are congested; stupefaction and prostration; decomposition of blood is going on rapidly; oozing blood is black. The patient can be aroused with difficulty from stupor. Blisters may be formed here and there over the body. Foul odor comes from the mouth. Such a state may be found in Typhoid, Diphtheria.

2.         Low state in fevers: with pain in the back of neck; feeling as if a snake crawled up the leg; electric thrill from brain to extremities; sudden and extreme prostration; vomiting; chill at 8 a.m.; during chill hunger, pain in neck, upper part of back and hip joint; chill is preceded by malignant eruption, in patches; small vesicle, or a blue tint; disappearing on pressure; with remittent fever, foul odor from mouth, sore throat; dullness of mind or stupor; weak heart; cold sweat.

Dosage : 30 c to 200 c.
Repetition : May be repeated till the response to the remedy is observed.
Duration of action : Not definite.
